5 Beauty mistakes that make you look older

Beauty
Forever young? Many cling to youth. We all want to stay young for as long as possible.
So why would you do anything to make yourself look older? The only time when people try to look older is when they are younger. Yes, we’re well aware of the irony in that situation.
Women put a lot of time and effort into looking beautiful. Unfortunately, there are a few mistakes that you might be making that actually cause you to look older, not younger.
Curious as to what they are? Here are 5 of the most common beauty mistakes that (mostly) women make…

1. Too much Foundation
Putting on a thick layer of foundation is obvious to anyone who spends a few moments looking at your face. Instead, try to be minimal with your use of foundation or use a tinted moisturizer instead. The more skin people can see and the less makeup the better. Use it to enhance your well-taken-care-of skin, not cover it up.

 2. Too much concealer under the eyes
Dark circles under the eyes are a bane of beauty for both men and women. Getting more sleep and adjusting your diet can help make these look better, but oftentimes women rely on concealer to help their eyes look more youthful. But as you get older, the skin under the eye becomes thinner. This means you need to apply light amounts of concealer and only where there are darker areas.
Otherwise the thick cover-up will not look good at all.

3. Poor hairstyle choice
Your hairstyle can be a huge boost to your beauty, or an unfortunate detriment to your beauty. As you get older and want to continue looking young, a long and flat hair style will not work as well as it did in your youth. Long, flat hair exaggerates the look of a droopier, older face without bringing out the good in your face.

4. Too much stress
In our busy and hectic lives, people build up a great deal of stress throughout the week. It’s a serious beauty mistake to have lots of stress on your shoulders and not do anything about it. Skin suffers when the body and mind are under stress, and no amount of beauty tips or make-up can undo the damage caused by stress. Find a healthy way to reduce stress and keep yourself looking as beautiful as you can.

 5. Shinier eye shadow
Shiny and shimmering eye shadow might look great and be popular but it’s going to show signs of aging more than other forms of eye shadow. The area where you apply eye shadow lacks oil glands and that means the eyes are the area to show aging first. Creases and cracks in the skin will be exemplified with the use of shinier eye shadow as opposed to matte colors.

How To Tell If Someone Is Lying To You

In business, politics and romance, it would be nice to know when we’re being lied to. Unfortunately humans aren’t very good at detecting lies.
photo

Our natural tendency is to trust others, and for day-to-day, low-stakes interactions, that makes sense. We save time and energy by taking statements like “I saw that movie” or “I like your haircut” at face value.
But while it would be too much work to analyze every interaction for signs of deception, there are times when we really need to know if we’re getting the straight story. Maybe a crucial negotiation depends on knowing the truth, or we’ve been lied to and want to find out if it’s part of a pattern.
In fact, being able to distinguish lies from truth is important not just in our personal lives but in the economy at large. Trust lubricates virtually every transaction we undertake. In fact, trust is worth trillions of dollars a year in the United States alone. It’s no stretch to argue that by reducing trust, liars make us collectively poorer.
Lies told on the printed page or on a TV screen may be the hardest to detect. When a journalist at a respected publication tells a tall tale–like the New York Times’ Jayson Blair or The New Republic’s Stephen Glass–those of us without reams of time on our hands aren’t likely to uncover it on our own.The same goes for deceptive campaign advertisements. Fortunately, at least in the case of politics, we can rely on nonprofit, nonpartisan organizations, to review the veracity of political claims coming from both sides of the aisle.
Face to face it’s easier to make our own judgments about whether someone is telling the truth. Psychologists who study deception, though, are quick to warn that there is no foolproof method. Bella DePaulo, a visiting professor of psychology at the University of California, Santa Barbara, writes that “lying is not a distinct psychological process with its own unique behavioral indicators. It does matter how liars feel and how they think.” Indeed, many of the tell-tale signs common to liars, like fidgeting and sweating, can also be signs of ordinary anxiety. It’s tough to tell the difference between a liar and an honest person who happens to be under a lot of stress.
The Trust Gap
That said, police officers and spies use a slew of interrogation tricks that the rest of us can adopt to improve our detection odds. The professionals look and listen for signs of nervousness, and pay close attention to the content of a suspect’s story. Does it contain a lot of detail? Does it stay consistent through repeated tellings?
Of course, there will always be those who have honed their deception skills to perfection, and they’re never easy to catch. Hardened criminals, especially ones who have been interrogated dozens of times, get better and better at lying, says 20-year New York Police Department veteran Derrick Parker. Magicians also know how to deceive by exhibiting a pleasant manner and relying on spectators’ assumptions.
For most of us, though, it’s not magicians or criminal masterminds we need to worry about when it comes to detecting deceivers. In fact, we should be most on guard against ourselves. “Often we don’t want to know when somebody is lying,” explains University of Massachusetts psychology professor Robert Feldman. In short, we are programmed to believe compliments and avoid painful truths, both of which make a liar’s task much easier.

How David Mark Will Take Over From Jonathan

photo
That sounds familiar. Take another look, wow!  But what do we do with the other tiresome toga, “Distinguished”? Boring, outdated; distinguished academic or what? Thousands of people both in and out of Senate bear that toga. Lets try again “Your Excellency,” wow!!! That sounds familiar. Why? Well, already that is how the Nigerian Senate President is addressed.
So how would David take over from Jonathan? Section 145 of the 1999 Constitution, if an Executive impasse arises, does the President have enough loyalists amongst the Ministers to stand firmly by him and refuse to pass a vote of no confidence?…. As was the case of his predecessor of blessed memory? Although very tempting and very easy for any Macbethan politician to invoke the relevant constitutional promulgations on impeachment and accordingly impeach the President and his Vice.
Don’t bother about impeachment; it is completely unnecessary in this instance. This is because there is an ecclesiastical analogy that cannot be ignored, given the uncanny similarities with present day happenings!  This analogy is found in the Holy Bible.  1 Samuel 18:1 And it came to pass, when he had made an end of speaking unto Saul, that the soul of Jonathan was knit with the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul.18:2 And Saul took him that day, and would let him go no more home to his father’s house.
Then Jonathan and David made a covenant, because he loved him as his own soul.
And Jonathan stripped himself of the robe that was upon him, and gave it to David, and his garments, even to his sword, and to his bow, and to his girdle. And David went out whithersoever Saul sent him, and behaved himself wisely: and Saul set him over the men of war, and he was accepted in the sight of all the people, and also in the sight of Saul’s servants.
From all indications, there is a strong bond between President Jonathan and Senate President David Mark
Further, Senator David Mark is a son-in-law of Niger Delta just like the Biblical David who was a son in-law to the king of Israel.
Our beloved William Shakespeare of Newcastle upon Tyne, whilst pondering on the phenomenon – ‘what is in a name?’ advised us in Romeo and Juliet that ‘a rose by any other name will scent just as sweet.’ Or will it?
You see, whilst President Jonathan has a very good name- “Goodluck”-, Senate President David Mark has a remarkably excellent middle name- ‘Bonadventure’- This means that David Mark’s name is a combination of  ‘Goodluck , Victory – and  divinely guarded ‘God’s  adventure’ –Bonadventure! (Bon is the ancient name of God, from where you get pro-  Bono, or for God). Therefore, by voluntarily handing over his legislative as well as some measure of his executive appurtances to a credible contender, the President is about to unwittingly fulfill an ecclesiastical prophesy found in 1 Samuel 18:4, “And Jonathan stripped himself of the robe that was upon him, and gave it to David, and his garments, even to his sword, and to his bow, and to his girdle.”
The kingly robes and garments represent the upper and lower legislative houses (the Senate and the House of Representatives), the sword and the bow represents the President’s powers as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. But there is a twist here: David Mark is a retired military General and highly respected in military circles.
The girdle which is the Oath of Office seems to be the only point outstanding. That shouldn’t pose any problems at all. The independent Judiciary will swear in whom they have to swear in.  Doctrine of Necessity or Doctrine of Lets Move the Nation Forward. Period.
Anyway, nobody knows if, according to 1 Samuel 18:3,  Jonathan and David (have) made a covenant.  However, it is crystal clear that the President’s  actions so far can be interpreted to mean:   “David, you will be the next king of Israel (or the next President of Nigeria).
You should be dressed and armed as the heir apparent. God’s hand is on you”.  Is this David Mark’s destiny? Will he become President? Is political acquiesance equivalent to abdication?
In global politics, a leader who by his actions, advertently or inardvertently, wittingly or unwittingly cedes or voluntarily renounces his powers in favour of someone else before the legitimate expiration of his tenure is seen as having committed a political volunti non fit injuria (and should therefore not complain).
The Biblical David was accepted in the sight of all the people and also in the sight of the King’s servants.
The Biblical David’s popularity both amongst the people and among the leaders is equivalent to the happenings in present day Nigeria. In political ecclesiasticism, the mien and demeanor of the man David Mark is such that he has endeared himself to Nigerians and to all those around him. In a country whose unofficial motto is to “pull down the successful”, David Mark has discharged himself creditably.
When he dons his Northern garbs he looks like a Northern Aristocrat and talakawa rolled into one; when he dons the Kalabari attire he looks strictu sensu like a man from the Niger Delta. In other words, there is a national acceptability of his demeanour.
Perhaps cultivated over the years, but encapsulated in his re-election to head the nation’s seventh National Assembly. According to the Torah: Therefore, it is fair to ask what more can he have but the kingdom?  Symbolically, the Holy Quran states that: “A people deserve the government they get”. As we were going to print someone whispered to me that Governor Rotimi Amaechi’s  middle name is also David, the heir apparent. So which of the Davids? And what year? 2015 or 2019?

6 Ways To Have More Sex

Here are six principles that should guide you in relationships. Follow them and they won’t just make you a better boyfriend, but a better man. Plus, you’ll get laid. Like, a lot!
RESPOND WHEN SPOKEN TO
We all need personal space, we get that. But if you’re tethered to your iPhone 24/7 but don’t respond to our text message, it’s insulting. Communication is not just for arranging booty calls. In the grand scheme of things, how you communicate with someone reflects how much you respect them. If she is annoying you with her texts, calls, or need for attention, re-examine your communication style. Be clear, be honest, and be respectful. If you are doing these things, she shouldn’t be feeling the need to reach out constantly. Answer her, and if you don’t want to, well . . . that’s your answer, isn’t it?
MAKE LIKE ANDERSON COOPER
And ask questions! Show enough interest in her as a person to ask what she wants and what makes her happy—and not just in the bedroom. Then try—really hard—to fulfill her wants. Engage in her life a little! Thoughtful gestures and honest interest with someone you truly want to be with should come pretty naturally. If you can’t see yourself doing that, do everyone a favor and walk. It could be the nicest thing you do for her.
QUIT TAKING THE WRONG RISKS
It’s amazing that some men will ride without a helmet (any bike or vagina), but are hesitant to take a risk emotionally. You get what I’m saying here, boys. No risk, no reward. I am insanely tired of people thinking vulnerability is a bad thing. Genuinely, I believe there is great strength in it and if you want your lady to be happy, I am telling you STOP BEING A CAVEMAN. At least get out of your cave every once in awhile, OK?
INVEST IN POST-IT NOTES
So what is this affirmation thing I always speak of?!? It is giving your lady a little positive reinforcement. There is no risk in affirmation. If you’re afraid you’ll build someone up to the point where she realizes you aren’t good enough for her, then YOU aren’t good enough for HER. So AFFIRM AFFIRM AFFIRM! Declarations every once in a while of how you feel for your lady and others in your life do not make you less of a man. They make you a man who can fulfill the emotional needs of a woman, as well as her sexual needs. I mean, you want sex, right? And sex makes YOU feel wanted and desired. That is what affirmations do for women. Suck it up. Write it on a Post-It note if you have to, but do yourself a favor and just try, no matter how silly you may feel.
GET NAKED, OFTEN
Women like the experience of sex. We like the intimacy. We love to feel your body against ours. We love to feel like you want to explore and enjoy every inch of us. We love to feel completely desired. I am telling you that this alone fulfills a need for us that may be difficult to express. I realize that orgasms are important to you. While they are pretty awesome and important to us, too, they aren’t our end game. We want to know that you want to take the time to make out with us and to partake in foreplay. If she doesn’t orgasm, don’t freak. Just make sure you are tending to her sexual needs by making her feel amazing.
ENJOY YOURSELF!
Have fun. Relationships are hard work. They are not right for everyone at every moment. Don’t do this for any reason other than really wanting to. Any other reason leads to resentment. Respect yourself enough to stay true to what works for you. Stop blaming the other person for your bad decision to stay or your inability to leave.
